This guide will walk you through the process of OSRS gold getting to Ape Atoll, including the requirements, transportation methods, and the steps involved.

Why Visit Ape Atoll?

Ape Atoll is a central location for several important tasks in OSRS. Not only is it the setting for one of the game's most iconic quests—Monkey Madness I—but it also serves as the home of some valuable rewards, including experience points in combat and access to various activities like the Ape Atoll Agility Course and the Tree Gnome Village. Whether you're trying to complete quests, level up skills, or simply explore the island, knowing how to access Ape Atoll is crucial.

Here are a few key reasons why players visit Ape Atoll:

Monkey Madness I - This is one of the most significant quests in the game, requiring you to travel to Ape Atoll.

Ape Atoll Agility Course - This is a high-level agility course that offers excellent experience.

Killing Chompy Birds - Some players visit Ape Atoll for hunting Chompy Birds.

Access to the Monkey Barrows - If you're looking for gear or valuable items, this is the place.

Getting there can be tricky due to the island's distance from the mainland and the various restrictions players face, so let's break down the journey step by step.

Requirements to Reach Ape Atoll

Before you attempt to travel to Ape Atoll, there are a few requirements to be aware of. These conditions will help streamline your trip and ensure you're not stopped along the way.

1. Monkey Madness I Quest Completion

To access Ape Atoll, you must complete Monkey Madness I. This quest is required to enter the area, and without completing it, you cannot reach the island. The quest is also crucial for unlocking the ability to use the Ape Atoll teleport (which becomes available after completion) and is the starting point for various other quests.

Quest Requirements:

Skills: 43 Prayer, 60 Combat, 59 Defence, and 5 Agility.

Items: A Monkey Tail (received during the quest), a Greegree (required for safe travel on the island), and combat gear for the quest's battles.

Monkey Madness I is quite lengthy and can be a challenge for new players, so make sure you are well-prepared before starting. It's also advisable to bring a high-level weapon, like a dragon scimitar, and adequate food and prayer potions.

2. Obtaining a Greegree

Once you complete Monkey Madness I, you will need to have a greegree in your possession. Greegrees are special items that allow you to safely traverse the island, as certain areas are filled with aggressive monkeys that will attack players who aren't properly disguised.

You can obtain a greegree from a variety of monkeys on Ape Atoll, but be aware that you will need the buy RuneScape gold specific greegree for your chosen monkey type. There are several types, each corresponding to a different monkey species found on the island.

A Greegree can be acquired from either Zooknock, the monkey in the Monkey Madness quest, or from other monkeys found throughout the island.
